An Engineering Invitation to Follow in the Footsteps

As part of our college events for National Apprenticeship Week, a group of Year 10 students and Sixth Formers from Ivybridge Community College took part in the Babcock Apprenticeship Roadshow event.   

Babcock are a key UK employer who currently support over 56,000 jobs in the UK.  

Two apprentices from Babcock, one of whom was a former Ivybridge Community College student, talked to students about their inspiring apprenticeship pathways and experiences of working at Babcock. 

They gave students tips and advice on the apprenticeships application process, and spoke of the importance of work experience and taking part in extra curricular activities such as Sports and Clubs, which will give students lots to talk about at potential future interviews and build their employability skills
