These included…

...and even included news of an achievement in a Rugby 7s competition, two Year 7 team wins on the Netball Court with two different groups, as well as a 7-0 score line elsewhere.

We start this report off indoors, where Year 8 student Nelly (pictured) was definitely on her guard as she took part in a South West Regional Fencing Competition.
Nelly fought well, not only taking the Silver Medal position in her tournament after competing in a close final, but also qualifying for a National Competition in the process!
--------
Meanwhile, Sixth Form student Myleigh (pictured) had a very successful weekend at the South West Dance Championships, taking home multiple first place prizes.
--------
The College would also like to acknowledge students in the water, especially some of our swimming students following their participation at the DRSA Schools Swimming Gala.
Our teams took on many schools from Devon and Cornwall and we would like to congratulate Year 7 and 8 Girls…

Meanwhile, the College would also like to give a shout out to our talented Gymnasts who participated in the South West Acrobatics Qualifiers recently.
--------
We also wish to thank our female Cricketers for representing us at a contest at a local University recently.
--------
Our female sports stars have also been busy on the netball courts and recorded some great victories recently.
Our Year 7 A and B Team played a team from a school in the South Hams, both recording victories.
The A Team had a very resounding win by 19 points to 1, whilst the B Team were involved in a tighter contest, but still finished the game as victors with a score-line of 6 – 5.
Our Year 11 Team were also keeping up the standard with a commanding 49 – 24 point victory against a team from a school in Bristol.
This wonderful win means that our sporting star students progress to the Quarter Finals of the Netball National Bowl Competition.
--------
Meanwhile, over on the football field, our teams have been busy with the Year 7 Elite Team taking on a team from a school in North Devon, whilst our Year 11 Elite Team were also out in force too.
Our Year 10 Elite Squad played a Team from a school in Plymouth and had a great day, winning by a magnificent score of seven goals to nil.
--------
And last but not least, many, many congratulations to our Rugby Teams for their amazing victories.
First, our Under 16 Boys Rugby Team took home the trophy after winning a Rugby 7s tournament, backing up the College record of Rugby 7s successes at Roslyn Park over the past couple of years.
And if that wasn’t enough, our Rugby stars, representing the College in an Under 14 Tournament took Ivybridge Community College back to the top and are now the West Devon Champions!
--------
Another amazing set of achievements with seven definitely being the magic number for this fortnight and we look forward to reporting more sporting successes soon.
