Food and Culture Workshops
Students were in for a variety of tasty treats as part of Culture Fest and we were delighted to give them the opportunity of taking part in a practical cooking session.
We were pleased to welcome Chef Don who delivered several Food and Culture workshops to our students.
Participants had the opportunity to create a burger with more of a Central American theme.
Students were guided in making a Spicy Chicken burger (or bean burger for vegetarians) with a basted Salsa made of Pineapple, onion and chilis.
Don Spencer is a chef of Jamaican heritage and was Head Chef of the Honky Tonk Wine Library in Plymouth and you may have also seen him on the television as part of Come Dine with Me: The Professionals.
