Guidance on Staying Safe, Strong and Free
Year 8 students at Ivybridge Community College have been learning about healthy and unhealthy relationships. Specialist Child Assault Prevention staff, from CAP UK, have been visiting each Tutor group for a three hour session.
This is a programme that offers education, guidance and support by giving students positive messages on how they can protect themselves. The workshops provide students with the ability to recognise unsafe situations and the confidence to act on them so that they can stay safe, strong and free.
A Year 8 student commented that the sessions made her feel “strong and confident to act should I need to in the future.”
A questions and answers leaflet for parents was given to the students to take home after the session.
