It’s been another successful time with qualifications to national finals and teams taking on challenges and making new milestones.
--------
We start off this report with our Under 14 Girls Football Team who had an impressive run at the recent Devon County Finals.
The team had a good tournament, battling their way through the rounds with their campaign culminating in a Bronze Medal position finish.
Well done to the girls on their achievement.
--------
Meanwhile, another of our female teams were breaking boundaries up at Loughborough University.
Well done to our Under 16 Netball Team who made it to the final four of a competition (a fab achievement in itself), however in doing so, have become the most successful Netball team in the College’s history.
A huge congratulations to the young ladies on their achievement too.
--------
And whilst they were playing in the finals, other students were following suit and qualifying for theirs.
A team of our budding gymnasts took a trip to the South West Schools Floor and Vault Competition recently and we would like to say well done to our Under 19 Girls Team, Under 19 Boys Team as well as our Under 19 Mixed Team who had a great competition, qualifying to take part in the National Finals in May.
Well done to all the students who put their best foot forward and threw themselves into the challenge.
--------
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our College Rugby students who represented us at the Rosslyn Park Rugby 7s competition.
However, it wasn’t just our Rugby Teams who were taking part, but one of our Sixth Form students was also shining too.
Ayden had an amazing time, having been invited to referee at the Rosslyn event, taking charge of 11 matches as well as providing some Assistant Referee duties too.
If that wasn’t enough, Ayden also had the opportunity to meet Rugby Royalty in the shape of former British and Irish Lions and World Cup-winning England Captain Martin Johnson!
--------
Another amazing set of sporting stories from our students.
They have all earnt a well-earned break and we wish them a good Easter holiday, although we think they’ll be on the practice/training fields very soon!
