On Saturday, 9 December, Shane Brierley took to the stage for his blind audition on The Voice UK, and successfully sung his way into the next round.

As part of his performance, he sung an atmospheric version of ‘Heal’ by Tom Odell which was well-received by the audience, with judge Anne-Marie commenting ‘Wow,’ and many urging the judges to hit their buttons.

After a tense wait, Will.I.Am pressed his buzzer to take Shane through to the next round and complete his team.

Commenting on his performance, Will.I.Am said, ‘You are awesome!’ Whilst Anne-Marie said that he was ‘pitch perfect’ and that his ‘Tone was beautiful’.

Tom Jones said Shane was ‘right on the money,’ whilst Olly Murs commented that Shane’s 'voice has got so much emotion,’ and described his performance as ‘fantastic’.

The College would like to wish Shane the best of luck as he progresses to the next round.
