PSHE provision in the Sixth Form underpins our Enrichment programme.
This is delivered via timetabled lessons each fortnight which are in addition to academic study, and PSHE is delivered by our Year 12 and 13 Tutor team.
Our PSHE provision is a really important part of enrichment in the Sixth Form; research has shown that students with higher levels of emotional, social and behavioural well-being have higher levels of academic achievement and engagement, both now and in the future.
We have worked hard to create sessions which are very much tailored towards the Sixth Formers as young adults, and every care has been taken to focus on future career planning too, whether that constitutes an apprenticeship, a university application or a GAP year, in order to prepare for responsibilities and experiences in later life.
We aim to create and deliver sessions that allow the students to develop habits of good living and to create an environment where they can flourish as a human being, both currently and later in life.
