Supporting the Local Community at Christmas
At the end of last term students, parents and staff were invited to donate food and gifts to support local community projects over the Christmas period.
Helen Ryder, Head of Human Sciences at the College, who organised the collection said, “A huge thank you to all the students, parents and staff that have helped to make this the most generous donation of food, beauty products and gifts ever! We were able to make a substantial donation to the Ivybridge Food Bank, supported the Christmas Day activities at the Watermark by collecting little presents for Christmas Day for those who do not have family – simple gifts like scarves, chocolate and sweets, and also provided starter packs for the Salvation Army.
A wonderful way to support our local community, thank you for making it a much more positive Christmas and start to the New Year than it could have been.”
