Ivybridge Community College

Ex-student has a Passion for Fashion!

From the moment I taught Chloe, I always knew she would succeed in the world of Fashion.

This year we are celebrating the success of a former student, Chloe Atkinson, who has just graduated from The University of Creative Arts in London, with a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Design.

Chloe was a student on the BTEC Level 3 Fashion and Clothing Course at the College, and prior to that had studied Textiles at GCSE Level.

Her natural creative flair, coupled with a real interest and passion for the subject, was always going to make her unstoppable.  She was a talented student, with a fantastic work ethic.  She was an independent learner who was able to reflect upon her own performance, and readily seek help, advice and guidance to aid her progression.  Chloe often took herself to exhibitions and shows in London, to broaden her awareness of the Fashion world.  She really was a credit to the College.

As her Fashion teacher, I am thoroughly delighted with her result and have enjoyed meeting up with her and looking through her brilliant portfolio, which showcases her final collection.

Chloe has had many job offers, but has decided to take a job with high street fashion house, Warehouse, which she starts in August.

Last year we celebrated the success of Eleanor Williams, who too gained a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Design from the same University.  Eleanor now has her own fashion label, and works from a studio in London.

On behalf of the College we wish them well in their future careers as young Fashion Designers.
