In Remembrance of the Centenary anniversary of World War One, the History Department is organising a visit to the Battlefields of the First World War for Year 9 History students.  The study visit will provide an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of people’s experiences of war and the impact it has on the life of the individual and the life of the nation.  The visit will have as its main focus Ypres and the Somme and will include many sites such as Ypres Museum and the Menin Gate along with British, German and Canadian War Cemeteries.
